These embroideries were originally placed on ritual towels or dresses.
On the first piece the woman figure holding birds in her hands - is Mokosh - the ancient Goddess of harvesting and fertility. Those birds show her connection to the sky, as they are flying creatures.
The second composition depicts the tree of life. The tree is placed in the center again, birds and earth creatures gathering around it.
The last composition on the deep green fabric depicts the Greetings of the spring. Since the spring is a new life cycle, it was associated with Mokosh as well. Mokosh stands in the center, raising her hands to the sky. Women riders approaching her on horses.
